Getting your windows tinted is a great investment, but proper maintenance is key to ensuring the film lasts without peeling, bubbling, or scratching.
The Curing Process
After installation, the film needs time to cure. This can take anywhere from 3 to 7 days, depending on the weather. During this time, do not roll down your windows. You may see small water bubbles or a hazy appearance—this is normal and will disappear as the moisture evaporates.
Cleaning Your Tint
Never use ammonia-based glass cleaners (like standard Windex) on tinted windows, as ammonia can break down the film's adhesive and cause it to peel. Instead, use a dedicated tint-safe glass cleaner or a simple mixture of mild soap and water.
Use the Right Towels
Always use a clean, soft microfiber towel to clean your windows. Paper towels have a rough surface that can cause micro-scratches in the film over time.
